a letter sent to the council by one of the wealthy homeowners. The first
thing I noticed is the New York e-mail
address. Somehow I doubt he owns the bay bottom in front of his house, but
I will have to check on that one. This man also states that additional
limits need placed on the recreational diver, while the commercial guys
continue to take 75%+ of the total lobster harvest.
Lobster season is an activity which has attracted 50,000+ people per year to the wonderful underwater world before the reef turns barren except for the traps. The difference is dramatic and instantaneous when commercial season opens. These traps sit in the water for 8 months, every day. We want a longer period to enjoy a leisurely chance to catch a few lobster before the commercial onslaught. We deserve to be allowed a little more of a chance to see the beauty of the reefs before the commercial onslaught. We deserve to have a fair chance to catch our legal limit of lobster before the commercial onslaught. We desire better than the two days you allocate now. We deserve better than the two days you allocate now. |

A reply to the Dr. Well, Mr. Ph.D. I have a friend who thinks we need to keep the yanks from coming into our state. Each year he can see the destructive effects.... We think our proposal will solve the problems. Moose
