Today I write in anger
| There are some pretty blatant
acts against the recreational angler unfolding right before our eyes. The
government has mis-managed the fisheries for too long, and now want to try
something drastic. It is drastically unfair to the citizens in the State
of Florida who enjoy catching our own fish, that the government would
think we would sit by and watch.
The main problem with the government solution is that is does nothing to stop the over harvest. They plan to close areas, but still allow the commercial industry to keep harvesting as if nothing were wrong. Our solution is to stop the commercial harvest. Reduce the recreational limit to one grouper, one snapper, one cobia per person. We will never have a thriving population of fish until we stop commercial harvest. History is on our side. Collectively, our voices will echo. Please help fight with me, or should we sit back and watch. Type your e-mail below to be kept up to date on the issues.
