The report from Moose was fantastic. Vis in excess of 100 ft. Clean warm water. Lots of fish. I knew where to look for good vis. Tony, however, didn't have the luck of the Irishman. I'm glad he found dirty water today since he has been blessed with great vis 3 trips in a row.

I will be out of the country for three weeks. I hope Andy will update the website while I am gone so I can keep track of the fledglings.

I can't decide, flounder or red snapper.... what a terrible choice to have to make. On the skinnin bench. It aint braggin if you do it! Jacob could be the next seahunter with a gag on the front page if daddy doesn't hurry up and do it!

Mickey, Bre, Kristy, and I went South to hunt some old ledges.  After the 33 mile trip I was eager to get the first group in the water.

The surface temp was 79, and I was praying for good vis on the bottom.  Mickey and Bre made the first dive.  They surfaced with tales of cold dirty water on the bottom, and two big mangos for their effort the largest 11lbs.

I made the second dive to the N in hopes of better vis.  I was not surprised to see the dirty water, but surprised not to see the end of my spear gun!

We headed N. some more for their second dive, but they returned quickly to surface to tell the vis was good till they hit the bottom.

Determined to dive some reefs today (MOOSE'S suggestion) I headed N and tried another attempt to find the bottom.  I was quickly surrounded by the dirty water only 30' from the surface.

So we tried one more spot on the way in.  It paid off for Mickey!!!  He managed to shoot a 24lb red snapper while in pursuit of a grouper.  Bre scanned the bottom for some tasty flounder.  The wind had picked up, so we called it a day.

I still can't believe that I forget a rule that has been proven true time, and time again.  NEVER LEAVE FISH TO FIND FISH !!!

Hey Tony, don't forget the other rule. NEVER DIVE A LEDGE AFTER MOOSE!!! and don't forget...ALWAYS GIVE MOOSE A RED SNAPPER FILLET!!!

Mickey leads the board, and I'm giving you guys a three week head start. Soon as I return it's time for myself and Andy to teach you girls that

SEAHUNTERS DON'T EAT AMBERJACK

and we will rule the board with a few trips to the old stomping grounds.

By the way, I couldn't help but notice the perfect shot by Mickey on the snapper. I'm jealous I couldn't be with you.

HASTA PRONTO
