Receive our dive reports

Well the time was right (ie the water was cold enough) for the stone crab

season to really start so we headed to THE SPOT no need for the boat on this

trip this was a shore dive. Ya! one less thing to clean. The best time to go

after the delicious crab claws are at night (so far I'v had better luck at

night any way). At about 930pm we got into the water yep MAJOR shrinkage

after your face goes numb you get over it. Once we swam to our location we

did our decent the fist thing I found was an old cheap dive mask some kid

had lost but then there they were the guys we were here to see. Stone crab

are some tough lookin dudes the kinda look like crabs with boxing gloves on

Big powerful boxing gloves. the easiest way to get them is to just grab'em

and hope ya don't get pinched. We swam around passing up all the marginal

ones looking for the big daddies and we found em. Not only stone crabs but

sheepshead were big here too. After we got dozen of so claws my partner

signaled he was cold so we headed back to shore after we got out of the

water and both of us were cold but that's what we get for diving in 60

something water and 57 air but damn these thing are good. Well here's the

pics hope to be shooting on Sat so will send ya a report on that if I get a

chance.
