My Saltwater Friends

Proud owner of three saltwater aquariums.

Tank 1 - 55 gal

Tank 2 - 125 gal

Tank 3 - 75 gal

Tank one has been up for about two to three years. This tank belongs to Andy but he became tired of the work. I have rocks in this tank from my uncles farm outside Atlanta, Georgia. The fish are a mix of fish from the store and stuff collected personally. This tank is my hospital tank for emergencies.

Tank two belongs to a friend who moved into a smaller house. He had three tanks, but room for two. I told him I would keep this tank for a minimum of three years if he wanted me to store it for him. I hope he forgets all about this one.

Tank three is brand new, a Christmas gift 2001. I am setting this tank up as a reef composed of things I find when diving offshore Daytona. This should prove interesting.

I saw you page and you said that you were going collecting.  Here is a thought,  when I collect in deep water > 30 feet I drop a line off of a buoy.  I then attach the catch bag with some weight in it to the line.  when I catch the critters I then put their bags in the catch bag.  When I get to the surface I pull the bags up 10 feet every minute or so to give them time to equalize to the new pressure.  I have not lost a fish yet since I started using this method.
