| If the FWC
gets what it wants, there won't be any recreational
harvest of lobster in the future. Florida claims to be the fishing
capitol of the world, but it should be called the
commercial fishing capitol of the world.
While the
commercial industry takes over 90% of the lobster, we have
just been handed a reduction to allow more commercial
harvest. They want to maintain historical levels of
harvest for the trappers no matter what the cost.
We, the recreational divers,
have just paid the cost.
